West Chester, PA:  After Action Report: This annual event is held by Master Carl Martin, an old friend of Master Cooling and the OI, as well as a current board member of the Isshin-Ryu Hall of Fame. It is always a fundraiser, with all proceeds being donated to a local charity. Last year's event helped distribute over 170 coats to needy children. This year's proceeds will be donated to The Timothy School, a foundation for autistic children.

Everything began with a Friday evening seminar by Master Cooling. He covered joint locks and controlling and taking down an aggressor. He was followed by Master Nick Adler. Master Ewing, Senseis Popp and Knox, Mr. Robinette, and myself attended. We enjoyed working with each

other as well as with some old friends and new. On Saturday, the tournament got off to a good start with the national anthem and prayer. Although the national financial crisis caused the turnout to be lighter than normal, the competition was excellent. Master Ewing, Senseis Sullivan, Costanzo, Popp and myself refereed most, if not all day. The following members competed:

Silvio Ventura......attended, but was illl and could not compete. (We appreciate your coming and supporting the OI anyway, sir!)
